Steps and Materials Needed to Run Your Campaign:
1. Decide on a timeframe for your campaign – when to run and the duration (a week, two weeks, a month, etc.).
2. Send an email to your employees introducing the campaign. Include the below marketing materials and a pledge form in your email.
- Introduction Email Template
- Donor Brochure
- Impact Partner list
- Poster
- Employee Pledge form
- Corporate Pledge Form
3. Send an email to your employees midway through the campaign as a reminder.
4. Run a special event to raise awareness of United Way – all proceeds benefit United Way:
Formal Wear/Fancy Dress Day: Employees pay $5 to wear special clothes for the day.
Ice Cream Social: Purchase or have ice cream and toppings donated; management scoops the ice cream and employees are asked to pay $2 a scoop.
Jeans Day(s): Employees pay $5 to wear jeans for the day.
Pet Photo Contest: Employees are asked to bring in photos of their pets; pay $5 to guess whose pet it is. Winners receive a gift card to a local coffee shop or store.
5. At the end of the campaign, send a thank you email to your employees.
6. Provide the donor level detail to UWCM’s Donor Services department to ensure accurate processing of your account and to appropriately thank employees.
