Urban Alliance Career Day - Baltimore City

Details: Urban Alliance Career Day provides our youth with an opportunity to engage with professionals across sectors and in their career fields of interest. During this workshop, a panel of professionals answer student questions and participate in breakout sessions with small groups of students.

Jewish Volunteer Connection
Date/Time: Ongoing
Details: Join fellow volunteers in knitting or crocheting scarves and hats for Baltimore’s less fortunate. Each year, Jewish Volunteer Connection works with area volunteers to produce 1,500 hand-stitched hats and 1,500 hand-stitched scarves to be included in Winter Care Packages. These packages will be distributed to local shelters and soup kitchens on December 25, 2012 as part of JVC’s Community Mitzvah Day.

Project PLASE - Baltimore

Details: Project PLASE, an organization that addresses homelessness in Baltimore by providing transitional housing, permanent housing and supportive services to homeless adults, is looking for a group of 4-6 people to help spruce-up the woman’s and men's transitional housing facilities' kitchens to create a healthier cooking environment. Activities will include deep-cleaning and organizing.

Glen Burnie Social Services - Glen Burnie, MD

Details: A small group of volunteers is needed to help convert an infant room into a teen meeting group at the Glen Burnie Social Service office building. The room will be used for the foster youth advisory board, youth sibling gatherings, and family visitations.
