Shawn Gunaratne has called Baltimore home for the last six years. After finishing his undergraduate degree, he completed an AmeriCorps Service Year for two years in Los Angeles, supporting students in Koreatown. He then worked for three years for an education technology company in Washington DC and finished his MBA from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School in 2019. After graduating with his MBA, he worked for four years at the Baltimore Development Corporation, supporting small businesses. He is now the Director of Economic and Workforce Development at the Bon Secours Community Works.
