BGE Customer Relief Fund
The BGE Customer Relief Fund for residential gas customers was a one-time assistance program created to help limited- and middle-income Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE) customers in Central Maryland manage higher energy costs this winter. Funded by a charitable contribution from Exelon (BGE’s parent company), the program was administered by United Way of Central Maryland.
The fund is closed. We have reached the maximum number of applications and are reviewing and processing all remaining applications to ensure support is provided where it’s needed most.
ALERT: BGE, its contractors, and its affiliates will never ask you for cash or a check or to purchase a pre-paid credit card to make a payment on your bill. All BGE employees and contractors/affiliates carry identification, including company ID badges displaying their name, photograph, and identification number. To verify a BGE employee’s identity or that of an affiliate, please call BGE at 1-800-685-0123. More information on imposters and scams can be found here.
We know energy costs are challenging, and we’re committed to continuing to provide meaningful support.
