Energy Cost Relief
BGE is providing limited- and middle-income BGE customers with relief in the coming months, as customers will likely see another increase in energy costs driven by increasing energy supply costs as demand rises and supply is not there to meet it.
Beginning July 1, BGE customers who meet limited-income or moderate-income/Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed (ALICE) criteria, along with other qualifiers, and are 60+ days past due and carry a BGE account balance of at least $250 will be eligible to apply for relief from the company’s Customer Relief Fund. Approved grants will be credited to customers’ BGE account.
To learn more about the Customer Relief Fund, customers should visit BGE.com/relief or call 800-685-0123.
Housing Assistance
Are you about to be evicted or lose your home? You may be eligible for free legal assistance from the Access to Counsel for Evictions (ACE) Program.
Renters in Maryland may apply for services online. Note: If you have been notified of a scheduled court hearing and you seek to defend your case, you must attend the hearing. If you do not go to court, the judge may rule in favor of your landlord.
