Vickie Cosby, Senior Vice President of Federal and State Consumer Government Programs (Retired), served the Medicaid and Medicare market segments at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield.
With over two decades of commitment to health-centric initiatives, specifically focused on health equity for underserved communities, Vickie established herself as a pivotal leader in this space by offering expert guidance to organizations aimed at enhancing health equity through innovative platforms, processes, and service improvements. Her strategic insight into product and market strategy and a deep understanding of government programs and compliance allowed her to drive impactful results.
During her tenure at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, she significantly contributed to expanding Medicare business and programs, directly benefiting at-risk groups and underserved communities. Vickie was accountable for P&L performance while ensuring the delivery of enhanced benefits and services. Her leadership was instrumental in acquiring and integrating two Medicaid organizations, optimizing post-acquisition models for heightened efficiency and financial stability.
Vickie is deeply involved in board leadership roles, serving on the Governing Board of Trustees as Vice Chair for Infinite Legacy and contributing to the Women United Executive Council of United Way of Central Maryland.
