A celebration of central maryland’s culinary workers
Two of the five fastest-growing job sectors in our region are in food service, yet hourly wages haven’t kept pace with inflation. When you dine out or reserve a table through Dine United, your support helps United Way of Central Maryland’s programs for ALICE workers, the asset-limited, income-constrained, employed neighbors who keep our communities—including restaurants—running.
ABOUT ALICE
Who are we supporting?
ALICE workers – Asset Limited, Income Constrained. Employed – are the cooks, servers, and dishwashers who keep our restaurants running. They work full time but still struggle to afford rent, childcare, and other essentials.
