United Way’s work in homelessness prevention and at our Neighborhood Zone in the South Baltimore neighborhood of Brooklyn received full, three-year accreditation by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) in 2021. This accreditation, the highest level possible, signals a service provider’s commitment to continually improving services, encouraging feedback, and serving the community.
The Maryland Department of Human Services awarded the 211 Maryland United Way Helpline the COVID-19 Response Award for its work in connecting people to emergency food.
